Kira giggled and obediently hopped up onto Akito’s back. The pain returned as he positioned her, but soon went away as he walked out the door. He turned around so that she could lock the door without leaving his back, and then they headed for the car where he let her down and opened the door for her. She got inside slowly and sat in a weird way that didn’t hurt her loins. Akito got into the car and began to drive off to his place.
It seemed to take about 20 minutes before they reached a large stone sign that read “Tokyo Heights”. Wow! This is where all of the rich people live… she thought, and she immediately blushed, embarrassed that she had even allowed him to see her mess of a home. Compared to his, her house must’ve looked terribly small and cluttered. Kira didn’t take her eyes off of the window as she peered out and gaped at the large houses and mansions. When they finally pulled into the driveway of a house that wasn’t as large as all the other ones, Kira sighed a breath of relief. At least its not way bigger than mine she thought, even though it was easily twice the size (but all the other houses here were even bigger). Akito got out of the car and came to open Kira’s door. She got out and had to close her mouth, just now realizing it had been wide open since they entered the neighborhood. [purple]”Wow, you have a really nice place!”[/purple] she complimented, even though she wasn’t even inside yet. She didn’t have to enter the house to tell that it was gorgeous. She was fully of envy.

“Wow, you have a really nice place!” Akito heard Kira say; he couldn’t help but feel a little embarrassed. He’d loved his house and his parents had worked hard for it but he couldn’t help but feel a little bad that there were people in this world that were struggling to find their next meal and yet he lived in this luxury.
”Thanks,” he smiled as he parked his car in the garage next to his house. His car was the only one in the garage at the moments as both his parents were still at work. Jumping out of the car and slipping round to Kira’s side, letting her climb on his back again before grabbing both their bags then closing the garage door and walked to the front door of his house, unlocking the door and hooking both their bags onto the coat rack by the door and taking them into the kitchen.
”Home sweet home,” he joked carefully placing Kira’s on a stool next to the breakfast bar, ”Did you want a drink?” he asked her not really sure what to say, he’d never had a girl in his house before, other than his Mother and even though he’d spent last night with her he felt a little nervous.

Kira sighed in awe when they entered the luxurious house. Her eyes didn’t stop moving from place to place; she loved it! It was so beautiful! Kira had an odd obsession with houses for a while now, and she either wanted to become an interior designer or architect. She didn’t know what exactly it was, she just loved houses. ”Did you want a drink?” he asked her, snapping her out of her obvious gaping. She snapped her head around to look at him. [purple]”Uh… no im good,”[/purple] she said with a smile, her eyes still wandering from his. All of a sudden she felt something soft rubbing on her leg, and she flinched, only to look down and see a cat nuzzling her leg. She smiled widely and reached down, picking the curious cat up in her arms. [purple]”Ah, so this must be Tama! How do you do”[/purple] she said, jokingly shaking the cat’s paw as if she were shaking a person’s hand in greeting. She giggled and let the cat sniff her arm and face. She ended up getting licked on her cheek with Tama’s sandpaper tongue. When she put him down she was startled by the furious mews that echoed throughout the house. She didn’t know that cats could through fits when they didn’t get what they wanted. [purple]”Ok ok…”[/purple] she smiled and gladly picked him back up in her arms. [purple]”Well, I gave you a tour of my house, now its your turn”[/purple] she said with an excited smile. She couldn’t wait to see where Akito spent most of his days.

Akito smiled as he watched Tama make his way into the kitchen, he was about to make his way over to Akito but then he spotted Kira. Tama watched from the door for a moment before obviously deciding that Kira was worthy of his presence and made his way over, purring as he rubbed his face against her legs. Akito watched as she flinched before bending down to pick up the still purring cat, “Ah, so this must be Tama! How do you do” Kira said before shaking his paw, Tama glad for the attention sniffed around her hand before licking her cheek and nuzzling his face against hers. When Kira put him down Tama threw one his hissy-fits and Akito couldn’t help but laugh as Kira relented and picked him up again. Tama promptly made himself comfy and fell asleep in her arms, purring softly.
“Well, I gave you a tour of my house, now it’s your turn” Akito looked up at her to see an obviously excited smile on her face, ”Oh, sure.” he smiled as he made his way over to her ”Well, this is obviously the kitchen” he joked before leading her through to the living room and dining room. When he made his way into the hallway with her he tried to keep her eyes off the hundreds of picture his mother had taken of him and his brother when they were growing up but he knew Kira had spotted one and rushed over to picture of Akito when he was about two, just in a diaper with a large smile on his face as he showed the large cookie he had in his hand to the camera. He couldn’t help but blush as she looked at all the pictures; these were the times when he wished his mother didn’t love taking pictures quite so much. He’d never thought he’d have a girl in his house let alone one that he was able to call his girlfriend. He was dreading when his mother got home cause he just knew that she would feel the need to break out the photo albums, she’d collected what she’d thought were the best pictures and placed them in a couple of albums and felt the need to show any guests she could.
When he was finally able to drag her away from the pictures he showed her the second level of his house, gesturing briefly to another set of stairs that lead to the loft before pointing out the bathroom, his parent’s room and the spare room that used to be his brothers before finally getting to his room. It was relatively plain compared to the rest of his house, just a bed in the middle, a desk, dresser, closet and a couple of bookcases. The one thing that stuck out most was the floor-to-ceiling windows that looked out onto his large garden, filled with blooming flowers, a small pond filled with fish and a wooden winging chair just big enough for two, Akito could already picture the two of them sitting on that, as the sun set and looking out over the garden. He shook himself from his daydream before turning to Kira ”So, what do you think?” he asked gesturing back to the door asking about his home.

As Akito played tour guide and took her through his house, she tried really hard not to open her mouth in awe- mostly failing. When they reached a long hallway that was filled with pictures Kira stopped to study each individual one. There must have been over 500 pictures in there! However, the hallway was pretty long, so she was sure that it would take her forever to look through them all. She smiled as she noticed that the pictures were in semi-chronological order, starting with pictures of Akito and who Kira assumed was his older brother as newborns, and going on until the present. She didn’t blink even once as she scanned all of the precious memories- Akito’s memories. She wanted to know as much about him as she could; it made her feel like she was special to him if she knew more than anyone else about him. Once the pictures started to diverge into Akito’s toddlerhood, she felt a firm- yet gentle- grip on her arm, cutting her viewing short and dragging her upstairs.
When they got upstairs Akito pointed out the designated rooms and bedrooms, and then they finally reached his own bedroom. Realizing that she still held Tama in her arms, she gently placed him on Akito’s king-sized bed. Sitting down next to where she had placed him, she looked up at Akito. After he had mentioned his brother’s room, Kira felt a pain in her stomach. There was a part of her life that Akito- nor anyone else for that matter- knew about. Her past was a somewhat hazy subject, and she didn’t really like to talk about it. However, she figured that now that she had mentioned her brother Mioko to him, Akito would ask questions sooner or later. With a sad sigh she looked down briefly, figuring out what exactly to say. She looked back up and mustered all of her strength to talk. She hadn’t spoken a word about Mioko for almost 5 years, and it was still a touchy subject. [purple]”Akito, theres something you should probably know…”[/purple] she started, and she had to hold the tears from running down her red face. [purple]”My brother, I mentioned him to you yesterday…”[/purple] she began a new sentence, yet she still couldn’t seem to get the words out. Her eyes swelled with wetness. [purple]”Nobody knows this but my family. You’ll be the first out of them that ive told”[/purple] she muttered. [purple]”Akito, I need you to understand that…. My childhood wasn’t very good. Im sure you noticed how uninvolved my parents are with me, and trust me this is the best that ive seen them. But, about 6 years ago they were at their worst, and my brother Mioko got really tired of their crap and he left one night. I wanted to go with him, but he wouldn’t let me. A few days went by and I finally tracked him down- I was only 10 and I went to go see him. When I got to his apartment…”[/purple] she couldn’t finish the rest. She started to cry and blubber just like a little child. [purple]”I found him dead on the floor!”[/purple] she finally spit out, and she covered her face with her hands, rocking herself back and forth, still shaken by the memory. She wanted nothing more than to hold onto Akito right now, just hold on and never let go. He was her defense wall, and he kept all of the horrible things away from her, making her feel stronger. She needed that strength now.

Akito watched as Kira sat down next to him, with a sad sigh,”Akito, there’s something you should probably know…” she started”My brother, I mentioned him to you yesterday…” Her eyes swelled with wetness. ”Nobody knows this but my family. You’ll be the first out of them that I’ve told” she muttered. ”Akito, I need you to understand that…. My childhood wasn’t very good. When I got to his apartment…” she started to cry so Akito wrapped his arm around her shoulder and gently stroked her hair as he listened ”I found him dead on the floor!” He couldn’t help but tighten his arm around her shoulders until he heard her sobbing, he moved her into his lap and wrapped his arms around her holding her tightly. He could feel her tears running down his neck from where she’d placed her head on his shoulder.
”Oh Kira....Baby I’m so sorry. You should have never had to see something like that; no one should ever have to see that let alone a child. I can’t believe you’re parents treated you like that! They should know that you needed to talk to them, they should have just abandoned you like that.” he could feel himself getting angry at her parents but he took a deep breath and calmed himself down, knowing that right now he needed to be there for Kira, he couldn’t go off and shout at her parents like he wanted to do, ”Baby, you’ll never have to be alone again, I’m here for you now, you’ll never have to be alone again.” he promised kissing her forehead as he let her cry.

Kira was pulled into Akito’s body, and she ended up in his lap with her head on his shoulder, balling her eyes out. She didn’t want to be crying like this, and she didn’t mean to spring this information on him like she had, but it was bugging her recently, and she thought that before they got close and he realized Kira’s problems before hearing the full story behind it, that he wouldn’t understand and he would leave her. Kira did have problems with Mioko’s death. She still had sleepless nights and some bouts of depression, but she was just now starting to get over them and move on. Akito was helping her with that. ”Oh Kira....Baby I’m so sorry. You should have never had to see something like that; no one should ever have to see that let alone a child. I can’t believe you’re parents treated you like that! They should know that you needed to talk to them, they should have just abandoned you like that.” He said, and he stroked her hair, calming her like a little child. She felt like a child near him- actually, near anyone. She never really grew up after that incident, and seemed feeble and weak in the eyes of many, which was probably why she never had any really good friends.
”Baby, you’ll never have to be alone again, I’m here for you now, you’ll never have to be alone again.” She heard him say as she sobbed, and her eyes went wide, and the tears stopped forming. [purple]”R-really?”[/purple] she asked in an innocent tone, leaning back to look at his face to make sure he was serious. She could never tell with him- especially since she still couldn’t believe that she was dating him. She blinked a few times before resting her head back against his shoulder and sighing. [purple]”I….I love you,”[/purple] she murmured with a small smile.

Kira looked up at him with wide, watery eyes and Akito’s heart broke for her. She was obviously such a broken soul and he could only hope but think that being with him would help her. He wanted to make her happy, and he thought he could but that was before he truly realised just how much sadness she had to deal with. Even though he knew she probably needed professional help Akito would be there for her, hell he’d always be there for her, for the rest of their lives.
“R-really?” she asked looking up at him, leaning back slightly so they could see each other’s faces. Akito wasn’t sure what she was looking for but he gathered that she found it as she sighed and rested her head on his shoulder, “I....I love you” he heard her murmured looking down at her noticing a small face on her face. He couldn’t help but smile back at her, he was glad she was smiling again, he hated to see her sad. ”I love you too, Kira. Forever and always baby, forever and always.” he whispered in her ear before kissing her cheeks lightly, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her closer to her back was completely against his chest, listening to their heartbeats which had synchronised themselves with each others.

Kira smiled as she fought back the tears that were forming in her eyes again. However, these tears were a product of happiness, not sorrow. She wished that she never had to cry over sad things again, she wanted only to cry over the happy things that made her heart leap. ”I love you too, Kira. Forever and always baby, forever and always.” He whispered to her, and he pulled her closer to him. His low voice comforted her, and she sighed with content as he kissed her. She lifted her head up and pressed her lips against his. His grip around her tightened and she wrapped her own arms around his back, moving a hand through his messy hair. She was so glad that she stayed home from school tomorrow. She couldn’t- or rather, didn’t want to- think about anything else but them at the moment. Her and Akito. Not her parents, not his parents, not anyone. She closed her eyes and perched her head under his adams-apple, feeling his every gulp.
[purple]”Say it… say it again,”[/purple] she whispered. She loved to hear him tell her that he loved her. It still was sort of unreal to her, but the more that he admitted it, the more real it seemed. Then, the slightest of noises began to erupt from downstairs, their volume increasing steadily. Was someone home? Kira didn’t even flinch, however. It wasn’t like her parents had come over here. From what she could make out from Akito’s stories, his parents sounded pretty cool. And his mom sounded like she was happy to meet Kira. She just hoped that it wouldn’t be too weird for her to be in their son’s room when they should’ve just been getting home from school.

“Say it...say it again,” Akito could feel her whispered words against his neck, her hot breath causing goose bumps across his skin. ”I love you, Kira. I love you so much.” he kissed her temple when he heard noises coming from downstairs. ’Mom’s home’ he thought and smiled, placing Kira standing in front of her so that she was standing in between his legs. He placed a finger under her chin and raised her head to meet her eyes.
”So, are you ready to meet my Mom?” he asked with a smile. He knew she was nervous about meeting his parents, he was nervous about meeting hers too but he gathered it might be a while before he met them. He would need to give himself some time to calm down because from what Kira had just told him and the way her parents had treated her when she so desperately needed help. They weren’t there and he didn’t know if he could ever forgive them for that.

”I love you, Kira. I love you so much.” he said as he leaned in and kissed her. Kira barely had time to kiss back when she was gently pushed to stand up in between his legs. She smiled as he smiled at her. A shiver spiraled down her spine as he touched a finger to her chin. She soon fell into a trance by his magnificent eyes. ”So, are you ready to meet my Mom?” he asked her, and it wasnt like she could say no. His mother was already moving around downstairs. Plus, Kira had a feeling that his mom would actually be pretty cool. She nodded. [purple]"As ready as i'll ever be!"[/purple] she said as she leaned in and pecked him on the lips.
She took the initiative and grabbed both of his hands in hers and stood him up next to her. She sucked in a deep breath as they proceded out of his room and down the stairs to greet his mother. Kira stuck close to Akito, almost hiding behind him, but his touch automatically reassured her and calmed her nerves. [/size]

“As ready as I’ll ever be” Akito couldn’t help but smile at how nervous Kira was. She had no need to be he knew his Mother would love her. They kissed lightly before joining hands and making their way down the stairs, he could feel Kira hiding herself behind him when they got downstairs. ”Hey Mom” Akito called before getting back a “In the kitchen” from his Mother. He smiled down at Kira and smiled, tugging on her hand, ”Come on, don’t be scared. She’ll love you I know she will” he tried to reassure her as they made their way into the kitchen were Akito saw his Mother sitting at the breakfast bar reading some textbook she’d brought home from work with Tama sitting on the bar next to the book, almost sitting on it desperate for some attention. When Tama spotted Akito and Kira he purred before running over to them, weaving himself between Kira’s legs. “Oh, sorry Akito I didn’t realise you we had guests. Hi I’m Akito’s Mother, Misa Tanaka.” His Mother smiled before hugging Kira tightly. His Mother was never one for personal space; he kept hold of Kira’s hand just in case she felt uncomfortable. Akito cleared his throat and smiled, ”Mom, this is Kira” his smiled widened when his saw the gleam in his Mothers eyes ”My girlfriend” he looked down at Kira and squeezed her hand a little, he hoped she was OK, and not too freaked out. ((I kind of pictured Akito's Mum like this - www.animecharactersdatabase.com:81/images/tsumamikkusu/Miwa_Kagura.jpg ))

"come on, don't be scared. She'll love you I know she will." Akito's words resonated off if her ear, and it sent shivers down Kira's spine- it wasn't like he said it in any seductive way, it was just that the beautiful sound that erupted from his lips never ceased to amaze her. She smiled lightly and blushed a bit as she squeezed his hand tighter. [purple]"Ok, I'll do my best,"[/purple] she whispered. As they walked into the kitchen, Kira spotted Akito's mother right away- there was Bo mistaking her. They looked so much alike it made her feel more comfortable around her already. Tama rubbed his furry body against her legs and she giggled. Akito introduced er to his mother, and Kira mistered up the sweetest, most innocent smile she could.
[purple]"Hello, nice to meet you,"[/purple] she said, and was instantly pulled into a bear-hug. This woman seeme to be glowing at her presence, and for once in her life, Kira felt like she could have a real family with Akito. When he gave her the title girlfriend, it was the first time he had said it since they started going out- which wasn't very long ago at all. Kira smiled and squeezed his hand back. [purple]"Yeah..."[/purple] was all she could say, her cheeks a rosy red. At this rate, Kira grew excited to meet the rest of the Tanakas!
