”Do you… love him?” he paused, ”As much as me?” he sniffled a bit as Sachi looked at his chest, tracing small patterns on it with her finger,
”It’s...a different kind of love T,” she replied honestly ”He looked after me when I so clearly needed looking after, he kept me safe. But with you Toshio,” she paused ”You were my first everything T, first kiss, first...time, first love, I’ll always have feelings for you; I can’t get rid of those. But you hurt me Toshio, how do I know you just wouldn’t do it again?” she sighed tightening her grip on his shirt. She didn’t want to let him go again, she closed her eyes and lightly pressed her lips to his chest over his heart.

Toshio’s heart felt like it was going to drop down into his stomach. He felt like puking, vomiting up all that he had inside of him as to get rid of these unwanted emotions and ease his pain. He clutched onto her tighter and tighter, and feeling her gently kiss his chest made him want to ball out like a little child. I will be there this time!” he exclaimed angrily, mostly at himself. ”I love you! And I will be there for you! Im a grown adult now, and I realize my mistake and I DON’T want to make it again!” his voice got high-pitched and whiny, and he pushed her away, walking back to his desk and hiding his pitiful face from her. He turned his chair away from her and held his head in his massive hands. As he heard her take a step towards him, he also heard the creek of the classroom door opening, and more footsteps. Tadahiro had returned. The “meeting” would have to be continued at another time. Are you gonna tell him, Sachi? Are you? he wondered, and he hoped that she would. Because if she didn’t, all of this would’ve been for nothing.

I will be there this time!” he exclaimed angrily, mostly at himself. ”I love you! And I will be there for you! I’m a grown adult now, and I realize my mistake and I DON’T want to make it again!” his voice got high-pitched as he said this and he pushed her away before walking back to his desk, Sachi sat down in the chair opposite him and sighed as she heard the door creak open and her husband walked in and took the seat next to her, ”Sorry I took so long, there was a problem at work that apparently only I could fix,” he laughed oblivious to the obvious atmosphere in the room, for once Sachi was glad for his natural lack of noticing the obvious.
”That’s OK, I think we got everything sorted didn’t we Tosh...Mr. Niigata,” Sachi smiled awkwardly trying do to look at Toshio not knowing if she could without saying something. She stood from her seat and pulled her bag higher on her shoulder as she walked towards Tadahiro leading him towards the door,
”It was nice to meet you Mr. Niigata, even if it was only for a short while,” Tadahiro smiled as he walked out the door in front of his wife and down the hall towards the exit, he didn’t even notice that Sachi was still standing in the doorway of the classroom.
She walked over to his desk and grabbed a pen and a scrap of paper before writing down her number, she tore off the paper and handing it to him, she cupped his cheek and kissed his lips softly,
”I’m sorry T, I need to go and think about something’s, but will you promise me something?” she asked ”Will you call me? Soon?” she kissed him once more and headed out the room looking back at him as she closed the door and walked towards the exit hoping that he would call her, she didn’t want to leave it like this, they needed to talk.

Toshio glared at Tadahiro. He hated oblivious people- they annoyed him to death. He wasn’t a “people person” in general, but this boggled his brain more than anything. When they stood and walked to the door he still sat in his chair, staring off into space. He didn’t notice that Sachi hadn’t left until she dropped the piece of paper on his desk and lifted his chin up and gently pressed her lips against his. He had no time to savor the kiss, for she had to go. But, she wrote down her number and wanted him to call her, soon. He nodded and she smiled back at him. He loved that smile, and he was so very thankful that he got to see it again after all this time. She leaned over the desk and kissed him again, and this time he put a little more passion into it, making her want more. As she left he stood, and when she was out of site he lit up a cigarette and popped it in his mouth. He didn’t leave the room for hours. He just sat with his feet propped up on the desk, a cig in his mouth, and he read her number over and over again until he engraved it in his memory. Finally, with a big sigh, he stood up, grabbed his bag and headed out the door.
